Current Program Updates:

Note: To determine what version of TrackNotes you are running, select Help > About TrackNotes from the menu bar.

Application (v1.01.03):
TN10103U.exe - 2.6Mb

Download the file to your Desktop or any folder and run it.  The install program will locate your TrackNotes installation and will upgrade your files automatically.

Note:  This file also contains the updated reports.  The previous reports patch is no longer required.

Application (v1.01.05):
TN2480FX.exe - 1.33Mb

TN V1.01.05 is a maintenance build designed to fix the VS2480 / TrackNotes Effects mismatch bug. It also enables TrackNotes to remember the "last used window size" co-ordinates.

Only 2480 users need this update. To apply this update you must already have V1.01.03 or above installed on your machine. Refer to the About Box to query your version number.

HTML Help patch:
HHUPD.EXE - 466kb

Note: You only need this patch if you are having difficulties using the TrackNotes Help file.  Save the file to your desktop and double-click it.  This will automatically install and register the files you need to run HTML Help files.

Apostrophes in TrackNotes grids

Earlier versions of TrackNotes exhibit a problem when using apostrophes (') in the Studio Device, Musician, and Equipment grids.  This issue does not lead to any data destruction, but it can limit usability. 

If you experience this problem, click here to download TN10103U.exe.  Download the file to your Desktop or any folder and run it.  The install program will locate your TrackNotes installation and upgrade your files automatically.  Once this patch has been applied you will have no trouble using apostrophes.

Virtual Track Signal Path settings

Some users have reported an issue where it appears that Signal Path information is not being stored separately for individual Virtual Tracks.  This is due to a grid updating problem; the information is being stored, but the screen display was not updating to reflect this when a new Virtual Track was selected. 

If you experience this problem, click here to download TN10103U.exe.  Download the file to your Desktop or any folder and run it.  The install program will locate your TrackNotes installation and upgrade your files automatically.  Once this patch has been applied your Signal Paths will display normally.

Track View "Note" buttons

In the initial release version of TrackNotes, the Note buttons in Track View may not function properly. 

If you experience this problem, click here to download TN10103U.exe.  Download the file to your Desktop or any folder and run it.  The install program will locate your TrackNotes installation and upgrade your files automatically.  Once this patch has been applied your Note buttons will function normally.

Credits Information

Seven Track reports have been updated to address the following two issues:

  1. Display the start and finish times for each Track or V-Track.
  2. Display correct credits information when printing from Scenes other than Scene 0.

The updated reports are:

  • Track
  • Track with Notes
  • Track with Signal Path
  • V-Track
  • V-Track with Notes
  • V-Track with Signal Path
  • Track Matrix

Click here to download TN10103U.exe.  Download the file to your Desktop or any folder and run it.  The install program will locate your TrackNotes installation and upgrade your files automatically.  Once the upgrade has been applied, your Track reports will function properly.

HTML Help

If you are unable to launch the TrackNotes Help file, it may be due to the version of Internet Explorer you are running.  HTML Help requires that IE 4.0 or higher be installed on your machine.  If it is not, you may have difficulty running the Help system.  Go to Microsoft's IE download page and upgrade your installation of Internet Explorer.

If upgrading to IE4+ does not fix the problem, or if you are already running a current version of IE, you are probably missing certain Windows files that allow you to run HTML Help files.  Click here to download the patch file.  Save it to your desktop and double-click it.  This will automatically install and register the files you need to run HTML Help files.

PDF Users Manual

Some users have reported errors when trying to read the PDF User's Manual in Adobe Acrobat Reader, including the absence of any graphics.  If you experience this, check the version of your Reader software.  Chances are good that you are running version 3, which is out of date.  Click here to upgrade to version 4 of Acrobat Reader.
